Used For:
- Used for muscle cramps, fatigue, or weakness; for peripheral neuropathy or myopathy related to vitamin E deficiency; to support cardiac muscle weakness or recovery after cardiac surgery; in liver or muscle disorders associated with oxidative stress; for general fatigue or chronic tiredness; and as adjunct therapy in diabetes, cardiovascular, or metabolic diseases.
Adult Dosage:
- 1 capsule once or twice daily, preferably after meals, with water or milk. Dose may be adjusted based on clinical need or physician’s advice. Do not exceed recommended dose (vitamin E toxicity risk at high doses).
Not Recommended Children:
- Not routinely recommended for children below 12 years
Children Dosage:
- Not routinely recommended for children below 12 years (high vitamin E content). Pediatric L-carnitine syrup may be used separately if prescribed. For adolescents (12–18 years): only under doctor’s supervision.
Pack:
Contraindications:
- Avoid or use cautiously in patients with hypersensitivity to vitamin E or carnitine, those with severe renal impairment as L‑carnitine may accumulate, individuals with vitamin K deficiency, bleeding disorders, or those using anticoagulants since vitamin E increases bleeding risk, patients with hypervitaminosis E, and during pregnancy or lactation except under medical advice.
Side Effects:
- Usually mild and transient: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps; Diarrhea or loose stools; Headache or dizziness; Mild rash or itching.
Precautions:
- Take after meals to improve absorption and reduce gastric upset. Avoid prolonged use without monitoring vitamin E blood levels. Use cautiously if taking anticoagulants, antiplatelets, or statins — may interact. In diabetics, monitor blood sugar (L-carnitine may mildly alter metabolism). Renal or hepatic impairment: dose adjustment or medical supervision needed.
Dietary Restrictions:
- Maintain a balanced diet with natural vitamin E sources (nuts, seeds, green vegetables, whole grains). Avoid alcohol — it worsens oxidative stress and reduces nutrient absorption. Limit fried/fatty foods (can interfere with vitamin E uptake). Stay well hydrated. Do not take other vitamin E or antioxidant supplements simultaneously without medical advice.
